It is pleasure to me to welcome you on official website of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United Arab Emirates. You can find on our site basic information on Azerbaijan, its relations with the United Arab Emirates and, of course about our Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Due to its geographic location Azerbaijan always was the place where the Europe and Asia met and this advantageous position on the global map to ensure political, trade-economic, social, cultural richness and importance of the country. The successive institutional reforms of the state have now given further impetus to the efforts to take the country to the prosperity. With that purpose and goal in mind Azerbaijan developing itself and has strong and reliable relations in all spheres with members of world community.

My country's relationship with the UAE dates back to 1992 when diplomatic relations between two countries was established. In 1994 the UAE appointed its first Ambassador to Azerbaijan (with residence in Ankara). Azerbaijan shares a very special relationship with the UAE and there's been a tremendous growth in our bilateral relations ever since they were formalized. That was the strong factor driven Azerbaijani Government to establish an official representation of the country in the UAE on the level of the Embassy which was inaugurated in 2001.

Since both countries' people shares strong historical, cultural, religious links we proud to say that these links constitutes excellent base for further development of our relations and mutually beneficial cooperation which is of strategic goals of our Embassy.
